ReStore Assistant Manager
Reports to: ReStore Manager
Employment Status: Full-time (exempt) - with benefits
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday (Daytime hours)
Salary: $38,000 (Pay raise after successful completion of 6-month new-hire period)

PRIMARY ROLE
Assists the Manager to achieve administrative, operational and financial functions and goals of HFHWC ReStore.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Operations
Open and close the ReStore on scheduled daily hours
Oversee store operations, employee and volunteer management
Delegate assignments to employees and volunteers to ensure consistent and orderly flow of new items to sales floor, outside bay and yard
Reconcile daily sales/cash register for deposit
Oversee pricing of items to ensure maximum profit to support the Habitat for Humanity Mission to include selection and pricing of collectible items
Oversee the daily and weekly truck schedules for pickups and deliveries and coordinate driver/helper schedules with other staff members
Qualify items scheduled for donation pickup
Ensure associates are efficiently scheduling donation pick-ups and responsive to donor communications
Monitor and communicate to ReStore Manager needed equipment or building maintenance
Daily Social Media updates to include current merchandise and events
Assist ReStore Manager in developing and implementing marketing and public relations campaigns for increasing and retaining donations, sales, and volunteers
Achieve excellent customer, donor and volunteer ratings
Employee Management
Schedule regular training for new staff members and current staff members on new policies and programs
Oversee and maintain daily/weekly task assignments and records
Conduct weekly staff huddles to review tasks for the week and facilitate two-way communication
Work closely with the associate staff to ensure store policies and procedures are followed
Foster effective communication with Warehouse Manager for efficient flow of merchandise and operations
Volunteers
Recruit and retain volunteers by:
Developing a daily and weekly schedule of volunteers with assigned times and areas/tasks. Track volunteer hours monthly by volunteer type.
Implementing training program for new volunteers; personally training new volunteers or assigning a staff member to train the new volunteers.
Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years of management experience required
Ability to communicate and convey information clearly and effectively

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Prior experience in construction/deconstruction a plus.

Ensuring that the store operation is staffed appropriately with employees and volunteers for optimal customer service needs
Equipping staff and volunteers for success with training, needed resources and clear communication
Creating and implementing an ongoing public relations campaign to highlight the many features of the store
Ensuring the accuracy of daily register reconciliation
Maintaining an effective and well-trained base of volunteers.
